For HAUS PARTY 003, our vision was to keep expanding the Haus Party vision by bringing new voices to the table. At HAUS PARTY 002, we met the folks from IDLE HANDS, a Boston-based theater collective.
Combined with our budding partnership with the SOMERVILLE MUSEUM, we saw an opportunity - use our mutual networks to fill our largest Haus Party yet for an extra special evening of visual art, performance, food, and art.
Over 150 artists, friends, performers, creatives, and neighbors attended our third installment in the Haus Party series.
CURATORIAL STATEMENT
“Systems” @ the Somerville Museum explores the often-invisible frameworks that shape how we live, move, and relate to one another.
We sought works that reflect on systems, what sustains them, whom they serve, and how they might be reimagined. Through our creative partnership with performance artists from across the city we create our own queer “system” of artists, collaborators, and creatives.

bringing it together
this was our largest and most ambitious Haus Party yet, and we wanted our attendees to have a fully immersive evening of Partridge Haus magic.
we created a special lounge area complete with cushions, curated lighting, and art inside the auxiliary gallery space. Wild Fox Pierogi provided a special menu of food for guests to eat as the night progressed. a custom cocktail menu rounded out the evening’s flavor palette. and sounds my local DJs Mx.Demeanor and DJ Frank Paper were the sonic undertone of the night.
in all, Haus Party 003 was a sensory for the eyes, ears, and mouth. we are so proud of what we accomplished and can't wait to continue our partnerships with the Somerville Museum and Idle Hands Theater Collective.
